Holistic rehab in California

We found 62 facilities in California that describe holistic or integrative offerings alongside clinical care, across 11 cities. By level of care that includes 41 residential, 31 intensive outpatient, 27 partial hospitalization, and 32 detox programs. 58 report Joint Commission or CARF accreditation.

Facility details come from SAMHSA’s public FindTreatment.gov data; the reason each center appears here is taken from its own website, and the source is linked on each listing. They have not been independently vetted or rated by us unless marked “Vetted”. Results are ordered by editorial rating where one exists, then by proximity to the center of the state’s largest market; they currently begin with Infinity Recovery, Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, and Element Q Healing Center. Payment never affects order.

Common questions

Can holistic therapies replace clinical treatment?

No. Yoga, mindfulness, acupuncture, nutrition and similar therapies are best used alongside evidence-based care, not instead of it, and never as a substitute for medically managed withdrawal.

Which holistic therapies have evidence?

Mindfulness-based approaches and regular exercise have reasonable research support as add-ons. Evidence for other complementary therapies is more limited, so ask programs what they use them for.

What should I be cautious about?

Be wary of claims of a “natural cure,” rapid detox or supplement-based withdrawal. A good program pairs complementary therapies with licensed clinicians.

Which California programs accept TRICARE?

35 of 62 listed programs report accepting TRICARE, including Lighthouse Treatment Inc, Lighthouse Treatment Inc, Lighthouse Treatment Inc, and Lighthouse Treatment Inc. Call to confirm your plan and level of care.

Are there holistic rehab options in California that accept Medicaid?

1 of 62 listed programs report accepting Medicaid, including Akua Behavioral Health Inc. Medicaid coverage varies by state plan, so verify before admission.

Is medical detox available in California?

32 programs in this list report detox services, including Lighthouse Treatment Inc, Lighthouse Treatment Inc, and Lighthouse Treatment Inc.
